Ambulance Standards and Device Classification:
Ambulances must comply with the EN 1789 standard, which defines the requirements for medical transport vehicles.
Embedded medical devices are classified according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR), from class I (low risk) to class III (high risk).

Intervention Needs:

Class I Interventions (relative emergencies): Require first aid kits, simple immobilization devices, and basic diagnostic equipment.
Class II Interventions (potential life-threatening emergencies): Involve the use of semi-automatic defibrillators (SADs), oxygen therapy devices, and cardiac monitoring equipment.
Class III Interventions (immediate life-threatening emergencies): Require portable ventilators, intraosseous vascular access devices, and advanced life support equipment.

ISO Standard: The International Organization for Standardization publishes standards that regulate the design, manufacture, and maintenance of medical equipment.
